From pills to pixels
My path to design wasn't linear. While meticulously ensuring medication safety as a pharmacist and leading a complex healthcare system implementation ignited my passion for optimizing processes, a growing fascination with UX led me to a design bootcamp. This newfound knowledge, coupled with my existing analytical skills, landed me the Experience Designer role at Great Eastern. But my desire to make a positive impact extends beyond the corporate world. That's why I volunteer at better.sg, a non-profit that harnesses technology for social good.

I believe a good solution always starts with identifying a good problem. At every step, I focus on tackling the right problem through deliberate design decisions. I then leverage on data and user feedback to validate and refine my designs, ensuring they truly address user needs.

The best solutions are rarely eureka moments. For me, the best ideas often come from a series of explorations, much like piecing together a puzzle one piece at a time. Each iteration, informed by user feedback and data, unlocks new insights which helps me to connect the dots.

My time in healthcare has instilled in me a deep empathy for understanding people's needs. By immersing myself in their world, I can shed my own biases and truly relate to their pain points. This allows me to champion user-centered solutions, even when faced with resistance.

While functionality is paramount, I believe aesthetics also play a significant role. A visually appealing interface can be more engaging and enjoyable to use. I prioritize clean layouts, clear visual hierarchy, and a user-friendly information architecture to create a seamless and beautiful user experience.
